Starcrossed ("we", "us") is an astrology and tarot entertainment app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Starcrossed you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Birth details you enter — your birth date, and optionally your birth time and birth city. If you choose to add another person ("your person"), the birth details you enter for them. These are used to compute astrological charts and compatibility.
• Relationship context — your relationship status and what you want to focus on, used to tailor readings.
• Decoder questions — the question you select or type when you request a tarot reading.
• Purchase information — your subscription status, managed by Apple and our payments provider (RevenueCat). We never receive your full payment card details.
• Usage & device data — app events (e.g. screens viewed, cards flipped), device type, operating system, and app version, collected through analytics.
• Diagnostics — crash and error reports to keep the app stable.

How your information is used

• To compute your charts, compatibility scores, and forecasts on your device.
• To generate written readings. Computed chart data, tarot draws, and the text of your decoder questions are sent to our AI providers solely to produce a reading.
• To look up the coordinates and timezone of a birthplace you enter (geocoding).
• To process subscriptions, measure how the app is used, and fix problems.

Service providers we share with

We share the minimum necessary with providers who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase — backend, secure functions, and storage.
• OpenRouter / Moonshot AI and Anthropic — generate the text of readings from computed astrology data and your decoder questions.
• Open-Meteo — geocoding of birthplaces.
• RevenueCat and Apple — subscription management and payments.
• Mixpanel — product analytics.
• Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.

We do not sell your personal information.

Storage, retention & deletion

Your birth details and preferences are stored primarily on your device. Where data is stored on our servers, it is protected by per-user access rules. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@getstarcrossed.cc; we will delete it within a reasonable period, subject to records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at the email below. You can also clear all app data by deleting the app, and manage notification and tracking permissions in your device settings.

Children

Starcrossed is intended for users 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
